A Barcelona statement had said: "Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks." Meanwhile, Barca coach, Valverde insists his side can cope with the loss of Messi. "We know what he gives to us and what the opponents think when they see Leo on the field," Valverde said at a press conference. The delighted player, carried out a mock interview with his father, Chuba Iwobi last night when he got home after the match, as the Arsenal forward said through laughter: ‘Congratulations daddy, you are man of the match. Any words to say?’.
His father joked: ‘Thank you. I had a good game and I was expecting to be man of the match. No apologies to anybody.’
